A company in Halifax, Nova Scotia is now offering courses in cannabis safety for workers and their employers.

Stephen Sayle, the CEO of Sayle Group who is putting the courses together, says the program grew because of a need for reliable, accurate information.

There are five modules, each ranging from seven to ten minutes, and they touch on topics such as cannabis user and workplace safety considerations, identifying and addressing safety hazards, workplace responsibilities, best practices, and reasonable suspicion.

Currently, the course is only available to the 16,000 members of the Charlottetown-based Professional Security Knowledge Network.
