In a statement on Monday by Coca-Cola, the company told the public that it is “closely watching” the market for CBD, and could create a drink with the cannabis component as an ingredient.
"The space is evolving quickly," Coke said. "No decisions have been made at this time."

Coca-Cola was responding to questions that stemmed from a Bloomberg report that said that the beverage giant was in talks with Aurora Cannabis, one of the worlds largest legal cannabis producers. Neither companies commented on the specific talks.

The cannabis industry has seen a large amount of interest from surrounding sectors in the last months. Constellation brands, maker of Corona and Modelo beer, invested nearly $5 billion into Canopy Growth Corp, and Molson-Coors agreed to a joint venture with Quebec-based Hexo to create a cannabis-infused beer.
