Nikolaas Faes, an analysts for Bryan Garnier Investment House, told Reuters, up to 5 cannabis-focused companies could be going public in Europe next year.

Bryan Garnier and Canaccord Genuity, a competitor, are among the few investment houses that are willing to become key players within the cannabis industry. At this time, IPOs are difficult for cannabis-focused companies due to strong regulations and policies surrounding medical and recreational use of cannabis.

Legalization in Canada and some U.S. states has created a "green rush" within the Toronto and New York stock markets, but has fallen since due to oversupply issues, and uncertainty of regulations within the federal level in the United States of America.
