Pennsylvania's medical marijuana program is expected to reach sales of $60 million this year and quadruple to $240 million by 2020, according to the U.S. Cannabis report presented by New Frontier Data.

The massive growth is going to be a result of an expanded list of eligible conditions, but more importantly the introduction of an option for dry leaf cannabis.

Prior to last month, the states program only allowed for cannabis oil or topical ointments.

The change is expected to drastically lower prices and bring in a much larger amount of potential patients, almost all of whom, have to pay for the costs out-of-pocket.
