Ryerson University’s Ted Rogers School of Management and its Chang School of Continuing Education are collaborating to bring a cannabis course to its curriculum. The course will be called “The Business of Cannabis” and will aim to familiarize students with how to apply basic business principles to the cannabis space within Canada, while focusing on Ontario.

The course, conveniently numbered 420, will be based around the retail side of the business, but will also include ancillary aspects such as processing centres, labs, and consumer products.

Post secondary courses structured around the cannabis space have been introduced across the country in the past month, as educational facilities look to engage students watching the thriving market. This is Ontario’s first of its kind, however other schools, such as Guelph University, have aimed courses at other aspects of the industry.
