Newstrike Cannabis and its subsidiary Up Cannabis have ordered a recall of a cannabis product sold in Alberta due to concerns about exceeding mould and microbial contamination levels.

The recall involves 1,428 units of one lot of Up Cannabis seven-gram dried cannabis jars sold to the Alberta Gaming Liquor & Cannabis Commission.

Newstrike says the affected cannabis is dated November 28 2018, and was only sold in Alberta.

Customers can return the product where purchased for replacement or refund.

No complaints or adverse reactions have been reported.
