New federal data from Colorado shows that marijuana use among teens in the state has declined in the years since adult-use legalization.

According to the U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s High School Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS), 19.6 percent of Colorado students are currently using marijuana, compared with 21.5 percent in 2015. The national average currently sits at 19.8 percent.

The percentage of high school students who have used marijuana in the past 30 days also fell 11 percent between 2011 and 2017. The percentage of teens who have reported ever having tried marijuana also fell 11 percent during the time.
