A new report out of the University of Bonn in Germany revealed that marijuana boosted the brain power of older mice.

The researchers injected THC into mice of a certain age and tasked them with finding a hidden platform. Under normal circumstances, older mice took longer to find the platform than younger ones, but with the injection of THC the older ones were able to perform just as well as the younger mice.

Andreas Zimmer, a professor at the institute of Molecular Psychiatry said that “what we observed was quite staggering.”

The study however, only involved mice, and made no connection to human brain activity.
