Representative Robert Brady, a 73 year old Pennsylvania Democrat, says that after he retires from Congress next month he plans to try marijuana for the first time.

Brady made the declaration in an interview with Philadelphia Inquirer reporter Claudia Vargas, and said that regardless of if it is legal or not he plans to try it.

Recreational marijuana is currently illegal in Pennsylvania, however the state legalized medical marijuana in 2016. It also pushed itself to the forefront of marijuana research as it became the first state to codify research on it into law.

Governor Tom Wolf has recently shown interest in legalizing recreational marijuana, tweeting out “Any change would take legislation. But I think it is time for Pennsylvania to take a serious and honest look at recreational marijuana.”
